(KTLA)-A woman named Amanda Leeann Porter, 44, was arrested for impersonating a registered nurse at multiple hospitals in Los Angeles County, without a license. The police department, on Thursday said, Amanda posed as a registered nurse at providence saint Joseph medical center, According to the Burbank Police department, Amanda doesn’t hold a nursing licensed and is currently on federal probation for fraud activity in her home state.

While posing a nurse from April 8 to May 8, she Oversaw for about 60 patients, she had previously been charged with similar offenses in Virginia.
Amanda colleagues discovered her false identity of being a real nurse who lived out of the state, she was fired but not before accumulating 2 paychecks for her fraudulent employment,the authority says.
She was then arrested after she was released from custody for pulling the same tactics at Henry mayo Newhall hospital in Santa Clarita. She now faces felony charges including identity theft and is being held without bail, Amanda will appear in in Burbank court on December 2nd 2024.
